GroceryAssistant (“the App”) is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal data.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
GroceryAssistant does not collect or transmit personal information or usage data to our servers.
The App does not include:
- User accounts or account registration
- Analytics SDKs
- Advertising SDKs
- Advertising or tracking technologies
- Remote collection of your grocery lists or purchase history
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The information you create while using GroceryAssistant is stored locally on your device.
This may include:
- Grocery lists
- Checkout progress
- App settings
- Purchase history
Grocery lists, checkout progress, and app settings are stored using Apple’s UserDefaults.
Purchase history is stored locally in the iOS Keychain using Apple’s kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlock accessibility setting.
This information is not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
3. Purchase History and App Deletion
Because purchase history is stored in the iOS Keychain, deleting GroceryAssistant from your device may not automatically remove all purchase history stored in the Keychain.
If you want to remove your purchase history, you can use:
Settings → Clear All History
Once you use this option, the purchase history stored by the App will be deleted.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your locally stored GroceryAssistant data with third parties.
Because the App does not transmit your grocery lists, checkout progress, settings, or purchase history to our servers, we do not have access to this information.
5. External Websites
GroceryAssistant may provide links to external websites, such as our support page or Buy Me a Coffee.
When you leave the App and visit an external website, that website operates under its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or data handling of external websites.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external website before providing information or using its services.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because GroceryAssistant stores its app data locally on your device, we do not maintain a remote copy of your grocery lists, checkout progress, settings, or purchase history.
You can delete purchase history through:
Settings → Clear All History
Other locally stored App data may be removed by deleting the App from your device, subject to Apple’s handling of data stored in system-managed storage such as the Keychain.
7. Children’s Privacy
GroceryAssistant does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.
Because the App does not collect or transmit personal information, there is no account registration or online profile associated with its use.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or our privacy practices.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
For material changes, we may also provide notice through the App or in the App Store release notes.
We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how GroceryAssistant handles data.
